For Speakers


  • Papers should be 20 minutes long, allowing around 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • As a rough rule of thumb, 20 minutes = approx 3,000 words.
  • Chairs of panels will be strict with timing, especially in view of the conference theme!
  • All sessions will take place in classrooms equipped with PCs, data projectors and microphones.
  • Please bring your presentations in the form of (PC-formatted) powerpoint slides on a USB stick.
  • If you’ve got more to say than you can fit into 20 minutes, you are welcome to send links to additional information/research notes etc to be added to the website.
  • We don’t require you to submit a fully referenced paper, but you are welcome to provide one if you wish and we will add it to the website.
  • Please be aware that you are responsible for making copyright checking anything you send us to put online.
